Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Technologist
Job Description
Performs analyses on blood and body fluids to aid health care providers in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients. Moderate and high complexity testing may include manual or automated techniques using sophisticated instrumentation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: instrument operation and maintenance, troubleshooting assays, evaluating test results for accuracy, resulting test values in a timely manner, and assisting with interpreting results.

Generally Monday-Friday 5:30am-2:00pm, Includes Every 3rd Weekend OR Monday-Friday, 2pm-10:30pm Includes Every Third Weekend
Qualifications
For Medical Laboratory Technician: Graduate or student graduating within six months with an Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT). Or Associate’s degree in related science field plus Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT), recognized by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS). Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent is required within six months of employment.
For Medical Laboratory Technologist: Graduate or student graduating within six months with a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), or Medical Technology (MT). Or Bachelor’s degree in related science field plus Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), or Medical Technology (MT), recognized by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
