RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily oversight and management of 1 or more construction sites.
- Coordination, supervision, and quality control of all field activity.
- Enforce site safety protocols and maintain clean and organized site.
- Facilitate all permitting and utility coordination.
- Assemble and review daily reports (Time Sheets, Job Briefs, Safety Talks etc.)
- Provide accurate 2 week look ahead schedules.
- Assist trades and vendors with all mobilization and staging
- Coordinate heavy equipment needs and transportation
- Prepare daily work schedules for field personnel
- Daily coordination of shop and field employees
- Coordinate with Project Management, owners, shop personnel etc. on daily schedules, material and equipment needs
- Communicate issues, events, and incidents in the field directly to Management timely, and in accordance with established company policies & procedures
- Prepare Incident documentation and assist in incident investigations
- Handle unforeseen challenges in a calm manner, keeping budget and customer in mind.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years’ experience as Construction Superintendent or similar position
- Ability to manage 10+ people
- Punctuality
- Proficiency with iPads, email, and MS Office applications
- Strong understanding of all aspects of utility construction
- Directional Drilling knowledge a plus
- Self-starter mentality
- Ability to work as part of a team or individually
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Willingness to get hands dirty if necessary
