Job Description:
The Director of Human Resource will report to the CEO of the Company and will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, of the Human Resource (HR) department, recruit top talent, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission, culture, and talent acquisition and strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires and on-boards top talent.
- Manages 401k administration and employee benefits with employees and providers.
- Be a liaison between the company and employees with regards to employee matters.
- Establishes and coordinates best in class health, wellness and other employee and company benefits and events/ functions.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations and market salary surveys.
Duties:
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, company culture and retention.
- Recruits, locates, and brings on board top talent through their network, job sites, and social media.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring, company culture, and talent retention and management.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Administers, manages, and oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, 401k, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Monitors, manages, and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Facilitates professional development, training, mentoring and coaching programs.
- Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least five years of human resource management experience required.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
