Mental Health/ Substance Abuse Manager
Primary responsibility will include supervising daily operations of all Substance Use Disorder Programs within NEW Alliance Counseling Services. Provide direct supervision to all Substance Use Disorder Staff regarding clinical practice, quality assurance, and policies and procedures. In conjunction with the Behavioral Health Clinical Director, develop and maintains Substance Use Disorder Unit policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and contract requirements. Develop and implement clinical programs, including evidence-supported interventions, pertaining to Substance Use Disorder treatment services, including co-occurring treatments. Promote the fact that substance use disorders are a medical conditions that are to be treated in a manner similar to other medical conditions by using interventions that are supported by evidence, including medications approved by the FDA for the treatment of opioid use disorders. Conduct SUD assessments; provide evidence-based SUD individual and group treatment services. Complete monthly compliance reports to courts for court-order clients. Teach Alcohol and Drug Information School.
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work or closely related field. Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with the WA State Department of Health. “Substance Use Disorder Professional” with the WA State Department of Health also required. Minimum two years’ experience working with clients with Substance Use Disorders. Annual salary starting at $67,664.00, and full benefits provided including the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program.
