Brake Press: Day and Night Shift

Responsible for operating various machines in the Fabrication Department, including saw, shear, drill, roll, crimp, and others as assigned. May act as an assistant on the brake press and laser equipment.

Section C: Essential Functions |
· Operate saw, shear, drill, roller, crimp, punch press, or others as assigned. · Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications. · Read and interpret part prints. · Work and measure parts accurately. · Load raw material in machine in a safe manner. · Lift work pieces to machines manually or with a hoist or crane. · Stack or load finished items. · Perform preventative maintenance duties. · Clean work area daily in compliance with our plant 5S standards. · Drive forklift as needed. · Other duties as assigned.

Section E: Physical/Visual/Mental Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use both hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with both hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Other physical requirements include the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in a manufacturing environment (i.e., safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection). While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy.
