As an Advance Local Account Executive with MLive Media Group, you will be part of a dynamic sales team driving advertising revenue for one of the country's largest privately-owned media companies. This individual will meet with clients and potential clients through a consultative selling approach to create custom and pre-determined event and sponsorship campaigns that exceed customer expectations.  They will grow new business by prospecting organizations of which our events and sponsorships can make a difference for, plus work with the sales team on existing accounts, selling events and sponsorships alongside them.   This individual will report to a Sales Manager.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Passion for personal and professional growth, digital advertising is a plus Interest and aptitude to succeed with needs-based selling
  • Ability to communicate with a valuable personal presence to potential clients, and secure high value appointments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – written and verbal
  • Strong team player
  • Assertive, goal-oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to multi-task, handle pressure and work under deadlines
  • Software experience and ability to use and learn technology, SalesForce experience is an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • Some experience in event and sponsorship sales preferred

  • Proactively identify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, marketing, referrals, and lead databases
  • Exceed established revenue goals
  • Execute key sales activities on various deals with advice and direction from Performance Manager, such as pre-call planning, whiteboard participation, proposal building, and presenting
  • Pursue new event and sponsorship clients and deals
  • Build relationships/partnerships through networking.
