Advance Local is seeking a Marketing Specialist for our MassLive Media Springfield location to join our dynamic Marketing team. The Specialist provides support on all lead generation methods of marketing initiatives, including: direct marketing, email marketing, blog writing, sales kit development, corporate website maintenance, events, house promotions, media buys and coordination, product launches and SEM campaigns by ensuring brand consistency. This position is also responsible for assisting in building and maintaining marketing partnerships with external vendors.
In this role, you will:
- Lead in the creation of marketing campaigns, media buys, product launches, etc. across platforms and sales channels
- Research, identify and implement marketing strategies and programs in collaboration with sales and technical teams
- Maintain relationships with marketing vendors while seeking initiatives to promote revenue opportunities
- Design, develop and implement marketing programs and/or pricing strategies to support the organization's products, services or market sector
- Collaborate in the recommendation of marketing strategies and media (e.g., Internet, press, television, radio) to launch and position products and services in a sector
- Create analysis on potential revenue and profitability of a market segment to determine ROI metrics and present recommendations to Sales leadership
- Assist in evaluating new technology and ideas as potential solutions or improvements to existing products and services and present recommendation to senior management
For this position we're looking for candidates with:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related discipline
- Minimum of 2-4 years' relevant experience in sales or marketing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze and summarize research data via multiple sources
- Experience utilizing CMS software and Adobe Creative Suite software a plus
- Experience with Email marketing preferred
- Knowledge of audience identification and engagement practices; can identify meaningful customer segments and evaluate the feasibility of marketing efforts to the segments
- Ability to utilize various media to effectively reach audiences and ability to determine appropriate channels for the distribution of various products and services
