ACP Composites is looking for an experienced Quality Manager with AS9100 and people management experience.
The Quality Manager will manage an effective AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) while carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Organization's policies, procedures, standards and applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee all aspects related to the Quality department, including but not limited to Quality Engineering, Quality Inspection, Internal Auditing, Document Control, Management Review, Material Review Board, Corrective Action Board, and serving as the Management Representative
- Responsible for the management of a comprehensive and effective QMS and continual improvement of the current AS9100 policies and procedures.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; administering performance appraisals.
- Development of the AS9100 annual internal audit plan for the QMS, tracking and monitoring execution of audits, as well as associated corrective actions.
- Routinely review key performance indicators (KPI) and participate in the review of corrective actions.
- Develop and implement effective standards and quality objectives across the Organization that will assist in delivering quality products to customers on time.
- Oversee and execute the control of non-conforming material procedure if he/she or other team members identifies a non-conforming product.
- Review and authorize customer returns (RMAs) to customers after investigating customer claims, where necessary.
- Other duties may be defined by the General Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in a S.T.E.M. field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience required working within AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Minimum of 3 years of people leadership experience required working within a matrixed organization.
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control, hands-on inspection experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Continuous Process Improvement, Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing control methods preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office and NetSuite ERP knowledge, or similar
- The employee may be required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb or balance, and stoop, or kneel.
- The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 35 pounds.
