Requirement: This position requires a graduate of an approved school of nursing and must be currently licensed as an RN in the state of Minnesota. Certificate in CPR.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Health Services, Memory Care is accountable to role model the mission, vision, and values of the organization. This position requires a Registered Nurse, (RN) to be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, supervising, coordinating and evaluating the care and services provided by the Cottages, Assisted Living. The role of the Director of Health Services is to ensure that the health and safety of all tenants are met through on-site visits with the tenants and staff. The Director will ensure that staff is trained in health related policies and procedures which are current and up to date. The Director will also ensure that the facility is in compliance with current regulations and standards. Must be able to relate professionally with tenants, staff and family members, display a positive, supportive work attitude and be able to work as a team with other staff members. The Director of Health Services must demonstrate strong leadership skills and work closely with the Executive Director. Assists the Executive Director with marketing of the program. Must comply with HIPPA regulations. Must maintain tenant confidentiality.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides support, coaching, redirection and supervision of nursing staff. Provides ongoing training and education for all staff as needed and/or required.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: Graduate from a school of nursing. Must be registered and licensed with the State of Minnesota as a Registered Nurse and must maintain current unencumbered license with the Board of Nursing; Experience in working with older adults. Previous experience in assisted living, a hospital, nursing home or Medicare agency required; Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities and problem solving skills and the ability to work independently; Ability to use computers and electronic records; The ability to deal tactfully and use good communication and customer service skills with clients and their families; and Ability to demonstrate good judgment and observation skills.
