Job Summary:

The Ad Council is seeking a Talent Generalist to join our small but mighty Talent team. This position will work closely with the team on the day-to-day management of all HR operations. By joining our team, you will help us to support the Ad Council's most important asset: our strong and talented workforce.

This is a position for someone who is passionate about employee development, excited about being part of culture change and always curious on how to better serve our employees. Most of all, we want someone who is comfortable knowing each day will be different and is enthusiastic to see where the next day takes them.

Timing and Employment Length:

This is a contract employee role. This means that, while the position is at all times one of at will employment, the Ad Council anticipates at present that the employment length would be approximately 6 months with the possibility to extend the contract. Contract employees will be eligible to participate in limited benefits and paid time off. We are also open to this position being a full-time remote location position.

Core Roles & Responsibilities:

• Proactively support the implementation of HR processes and all ongoing HR projects.
• Assist on all elements of the recruiting and hiring process including researching sites to increase the talent pipeline, job postings, scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, offer letters, and onboarding.
• Research and identify new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency and improve the employee experience.
• Research and identify various professional development opportunities for employees.
• Help create online onboarding process and experience for new hires and managers.
• Implement and update policies and procedures reflective of organizational goals and employment law compliance.
• Serve as a champion for culture change ensuring strategies and processes continue to create an environment where all employee voices are heard and set up for success.
• Generate and analyze workforce reports such as headcount and demographics.
• Run the Ad Council's current rewards program recognizing staff anniversaries and achievements.
• Manage employee performance and internship programs.
• Assist in the upkeep of HR materials including the Ad Council Guidebook, policies, employee directory, organizational chart, and job descriptions.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries.
• Process monthly benefit invoices and update employee benefit information as needed.
• Maintain permanent personnel records; Provide employment verification as needed.

Core Skills & Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience working in Human Resources/Talent departments or recruiting firm.
• Must be extremely detail-oriented and resourceful, as well as an ability to exercise independent and good judgement.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and organizational skills.
• Strong PC skills using Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus.
• Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
• Positive attitude, good sense of humor and team spirit a must.
