LPA is seeking a passionate Systems Administrator to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners. As a member of Inspire Design (ID), our unified technology team, you will be a firm wide participant in our uniquely collaborative process by maintaining, supporting and implementing technologies that inspire the design process. As a Systems Administrator at LPA, this is what you would own:

  • Windows OS Updates (WSUS)
  • Windows Imaging (WDS)
  • Teams administration and management
  • VM Ware, vSAN, vSphere
  • Server builds, consolidation + upgrades
  • Automated Power Management via Vertiv or similar tools
  • Automated Tools + Processes for better systems performance and alerts

As a Systems Administrator at LPA, this is what you would contribute to:

  • Assist with Office 365/ Exchange Management
  • Management of security and distribution groups
  • Assist with file Storage Management
  • Assist with Panzura File Management
  • DFS Management
  • Resolving elevated incidents and requests within the service desk system

As a System Administrator at LPA, this is what you will learn:

  • Deeper knowledge of Microsoft Teams best practices and administration
  • LPA specific applications (implementation + administration)

As a Systems Administrator at LPA, this is what you will improve:

  • Network + server performance and reliability
  • Windows updates process (WSUS)
  • Windows deployments (WDS)
  • Automated reporting for the following: Network, Network bandwidth capacity and utilization, Cloud storage performance, capacity and utilization

Within 1 month this person will:

  • Be introduced to the Systems, Design and Intelligence teams to capture a holistic understanding of LPA and the Inspire Design
  • Learn specific systems and technologies that LPA uses
  • Collaborate with Network Administrator and Security Analyst for an introduction into LPA's network and security infrastructure
  • Work with Systems Manager to develop and present plan for implementation of Vertiv power management at all sites
  • Evaluate current WSUS environment and provide schedule for next updates to firm wide machines

Within 3 months this person will:

  • Take ownership of firmwide windows updates
  • Implement power management alerts and monitoring for at least 1 location
  • Serve as an escalation point for Service Desk tickets

Within 6 months this person will:

  • Take ownership of WDS
  • Review and optimize systems performance alerts
  • Provide recommendations for maintenance, upgrades and/or new systems technologies for LPA
  • Provide recommendations for optimization of VM Ware, vSAN, vSphere and Server builds, consolidation and upgrades
  • Provide next steps for implementing power management alerts and monitoring for all locations

Within 12 months this person will:

  • Implement and own power management alerts monitoring
  • Take ownership of VM Ware, ySAN, vSphere and implement optimization recommendations
  • Be responsible for implementing recommended server builds, consolidation and upgrades
  • Implement and own improved performance monitoring alerts
  • Be main point of contact for all system administration responsibilities
