The Technology Enabling Development Lab (TED) Our core development focus is the host interface firmware layer that sits in the intersection of system software and flash management firmware. This key host interface firmware technology drives Samsungs breakthrough V-NAND technology and enables our customers to power performance-oriented, demanding, enterprise-class applications ranging from hyper-scale data centers, to big data processing, to software defined virtualized storage arrays and infrastructures.
OVERVIEW & IMPACT:
We are looking for a Systems Technical Lead to mentor a team of engineers working on qualification of cutting edge high performance NVMe SSDs on Enterprise Storage Systems at our San Jose office. Candidate must have a strong background in Enterprise Storage Systems and NAND flash memory based storage devices. Expertise in NVMe, PCIe and NVMe over fabrics is required, while that in other protocols such as SAS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel is a plus. Position will work cross functionally with the Test, FW, Controller, NAND and Marketing teams on critical features, test plans and debug of critical customer issues. Should have previous experience working with Tier 1 enterprise customers for design and test reviews. Ability to independently plan and lead significant projects, across global sites. Must be able to multi task with a strong inclination to process based execution. The ideal candidate for this role would share our passion for creating and innovating new technologies, and thrive in a highly dynamic, fast-paced, results-driven environment.
