As an integral member of the Digital Supply Chain organization within the Global Supply Chain Excellence & Innovation team, this role will be in charge of supporting the development and evolution of Digital Roadmap for Global Supply Chain and creating value through the use of automation and the implementation of new technologies. The Manager will be responsible for becoming key interface between business and Information Systems (IS) teams in regards of automation and value creation and to identify, develop and supporting execution of continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports the Digital Supply Chain Roadmap update and ensures timely revisions and execution
  • Manage and serve as key interface between business and information systems (IS) teams in regards of automation and value creation. Balances the needs of the business with the IS roadmap
  • Partner with IS to identify the best supplier/partner to meet product requirements from both technical perspective as well as supply chain considerations, makes sure to align capabilities and requirements
  • Identifies customer's needs and translates them into work scopes and/or design specifications.
  • Supports the building of automation systems, recognizes and understands the cross-dependencies of the technologies and understands the impacts on the organization.
  • Ensures efficient and effective technical system and automations expertise to support operational needs, system and automation providing guidance and direction to stakeholders
  • Develops and maintains the automation roadmap
  • As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides Automation guidance and direction to stakeholders
  • Analyzes plans, business needs and system specifications to determine project requirements
  • Utilizes frameworks, models, best practices and lessons learned to set structured approach to facilitate improvements
  • Establishes effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders and (virtual) international teams
  • Analyses industry best practices to identify new value-added opportunities for the business
  • Applies operational excellence skills to ensure optimal execution of projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develops and maintains effective partnering relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Assists in risk assessment and activities as needed
  • Assists in the development of automation system and business training activities and provides training


Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate Degree

OR

Master's degree and 2 years of experience in Digital and Supply Chain Management

OR

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in Digital and Supply Chain Management,

OR

Associates degree and 10 years of experience in Digital and Supply Chain Management,

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience in Digital and Supply Chain Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic GMP knowledge and understanding of bio/pharmaceutical regulations and business principles.
  • Experience in automation management
  • Direct experience with ERP, planning systems
  • Knowledge of MS Project, visualization tools (Tableau, Spotfire) & Operational Excellence tools
  • Problem solving and customer service mindset
  • Self-starter with high attention to detail, able to work on assigned tasks independently, able to identify and initiate discussions about opportunities for process improvement.
  • Good organization and time management skills, ability to multi-task.
  • Experience working with complex projects or processes
  • Change Management Experience
  • Project management skills
  • Able to work both autonomously and in teams
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Fluency in English (both verbal and written)
