The Site Coordinator will foster a welcoming atmosphere for those calling or visiting, identify areas of service most appropriate to the needs and desires of each guest, and refer guests to appropriate resources within Family Connections or, when appropriate, to outside referral sources. The Site Coordinator will assist in the daily functions of department operations, coordinate and develop donation resources, and provide goods and consumables to meet the needs of families in coordination with other staff in support of healthy engagement of clients.

To partner with the Family Connections Director in the internal/external responsibilities of department programs to include client, project, and partner management, particularly around services to our Spanish-speaking clients. Site Coordinator will coordinate these services with the Manager and other Life Coaches and participate in case conferencing for families with ongoing needs or requests that are not within usual guidelines.

Essential Duties
  • Provide friendly, welcoming, and professional customer service to families, community members, and collaborating organizations.
  • Provide information and complete initial family development screening and referrals for families.
  • Coordinate referrals to outside resources and supports with consideration for language needs.
  • Provide utility assistance (COPE, EOC, etc.) to Spanish-speaking clients, and others as needed in coordination with Life Coaches/Emergency Assistance providers.
  • Assign Emergency Service calls to Life Coaches per schedule.
  • Ensure appropriate room set up, and have supplies and equipment available for scheduled resource events.
  • Responsible for the proper functioning and maintenance of front desk equipment and the security of confidential information.
  • Train and supervise on-site volunteers.
  • Responsible for answering and promptly returning all calls in a professional and timely manner.
  • Responsible for collecting, managing, and reporting on data related to clients initially served on site including the Catholic Charities database, as well as other necessary systems.
  • Coordinate, execute, and develop reporting process for special projects/functions (KIND, haircuts, large donation events such as JBF, and other events).
  • Participate in ongoing training and be responsible for following Quality Standards for Family Strengthening and Support.
  • Work with FC Director and Manager to promote the safety and security of families and other visitors through the active monitoring of potential threats, and development and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Coordinate donation drop-off, pick-up, and transfer of donations for delivery to Helen Hunt facility. Network with other agencies to handle overflow items.
  • Coordinate client intake information and feedback surveys.

  • Associates degree preferred, or currently enrolled in higher education classes in human services field.
  • Two years of experience providing human services or customer service.
  • Professional with a heart for families struggling with instability, including homelessness. Ability to offer relationship building and practical assistance, and a strong belief in grace and restoration.
  • Sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic background of the children and families being served.
  • Ability to relate to a wide variety of cultures and perspectives and to establish, foster, and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of clients.
  • Must have ability to join with and implement a strengths-based approach to children and families.
  • Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care principles/practices; or take initiative toward self-directed learning.
  • Knowledge/awareness and understanding of differences between crisis/emergency care, transformation/development theories and practices, and family strengthening approaches.
  • Enthusiasm for and commitment to the principle of helping others to help themselves.
  • Case management skills and ability to define, collaborate, and facilitate attainment of stated goals.
  • Self-directed individual, but strong team player with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving/planning, mediation, and conflict resolution.
  • Understanding of and compliance to confidentiality related to information and documents.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management systems.
  • Knowledge of Colorado Springs and other state and regional community resources.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow directions and interpret policies and procedures to ensure compliance, ability to prioritize projects and follow through.

  • Fully Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Fingerprint and background clearance required.
  • Transportation and valid driver's license required.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply culturally appropriate skills in interactions with clients, co-workers, volunteers, partner agencies, and other community members.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), problem solving, listening, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form and maintain positive work relationships.
  • Work ethic that exemplifies enthusiasm, teamwork, and self-motivation.
  • Strong interpersonal and human relations skills with flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability and willingness to work within the established structure of the Family Connections Department and Catholic Charities.
  • Occasional evenings and weekends are required to accommodate meetings and special events.


$31,758 - $34,373 DOE

Position Classification


Full Time: 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 am 5:00 pm
