As a Senior Security Consultant, you will be responsible for:
  • Providing value to clients through successful project execution providing information security consultation, assessment services, and specialized advisory services.
  • Helping the overall security team at our clients. Key tasks are to ensure security department process, workflow, and procedure models are created and maintained. This also includes work to help create department service catalog and GRC tool flows. Will maintain the master security policy working subcommittee for maintenance and be able to respond to questions on policy. There will be ad-hoc work based on any project the team is actively working on. You'll facilitate analysis of documentation with security controls as well as procedure runbooks.
  • Providing subject matter expertise and oversight in the design, implementation, integration, configuration and testing of complex security solutions.
  • Evaluating customer organization technology and operations against best practices and industry requirements of all kinds (e.g. HIPAA, NIST CSF, CSA CCM, NERC CIP, GDPR, CCPA, CCMC).
  • Sharing your expertise with clients and colleagues to aid in making decisions on topics like strategy and scope as well as deep and highly technical projects involving cloud security strategy, cyber risk management, security operations, and compliance.
  • Providing clear, organized findings and recommendations to clients and tracking progress towards resolution and compliance.
  • Producing detailed, high-quality reports for clients at all levels of leadership using effective verbal and written communications.
  • Working with clients to implement practices to produce secure applications and identify and eliminate security vulnerabilities.
  • Working independently, leading or assisting in security engagements requiring client interaction, generation of deliverables, and elements of project management.
  • Assisting account executives in maintaining and growing customer relationships into long-lasting partnerships as the trusted advisor of choice.
  • Growing the business by identifying opportunities to provide greater value to existing and potential clients through Trustwave products and services.
  • Contributing your thoughts, tools, industry news or lessons learned to the Trustwave team and its client base.
  • Being a team player and having the capability to expand/adapt your skills in this fast-paced and dynamic industry.
  • Working both onsite in Nashville, TN and remotely.

Skills and Qualifications

Must have at least 5 years of professional experience providing security advisory services in a leading security consulting or security professional services organization.

Strong professional expertise in information security, must have the ability to thoroughly understand complex principles and apply them practically. Comfortably present security concepts or findings to both highly technical and entirely non-technical audiences.
  • Must have previous professional experience providing consultative services as either a multidisciplined subject matter expert or as a third-party consultant.
  • Strong professional expertise in information security, and must have the ability to thoroughly understand complex principles and apply them practically.
  • Understanding of security controls and experience with an industry controls framework such as the NIST CSF or ISO 27001.
  • Comfortably present security concepts or findings to both highly technical and entirely non-technical audiences.
  • Attention to detail and use of strong writing skills to develop security documentation, reports, and briefings for clients.
  • Must have a broad and solid foundation in multiple aspects of information technology, applications, and security controls.
  • Must be willing to participate in relevant professional organizations like OWASP, ISACA, ISSA, and the Cloud Security Alliance.

Certifications

Preferred: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSK, CCSP, CRISC, CGEIT, OSCP, PMP, and security product-centric expert certifications.

Education:

We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
