About the position:

As a core member of the Marketing and Communications department at JFF, the Senior Graphic Designer will contribute to our evolving efforts to be a strategic partner to the business units, while simultaneously producing a wide range of print and digital content. You will have the opportunity to further elevate JFFs brand by acting as an ambassador, providing strategic thought-partnership on design and branding, while producing high-quality work consistent with JFFs brand guidelines. You will consult, direct, liaise and partner on design projects with JFFs organizational services teams and JFFs executive leadership to deliver best-in-class collateral both static and dynamic. Also, as a core member of the centralized branding center for JFF, the Senior Graphic Designer will ensure that our collateral (print, video, digital, etc.) support and advance the goals of JFFs mission and brand.

The ideal candidate is an experienced graphic designer who is excited to contribute to both strategy and production execution of an ever-evolving best-in-class brand. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and working in close collaboration with our in-house senior graphic designer, you will create innovative and world-class design solutions. What youll do:

Production Design and Project Management

  • Design and produce a high volume of content for myriad internal clients which will be seen and leveraged by thousands of external stakeholders to advance JFFs mission and strategic priorities
  • Work with the program and communications teams with development of creative content for various initiatives, including publications, reports, policy briefs, infographics, social media graphics, email and landing page content, events collateral, and more
  • Design and update templates for collateral, presentations, email and digital content.
  • Collaborate across various internal teams in an adaptive environment, acting as a partner, consultant, and executor on creative vision, design and execution
  • Coordinate and manage work with outside design firms and freelancers to support on-time and on-budget delivery of projects
  • Support design review and quality control across projects as needed

Strategic Design Consultation

  • Partner strategically with our marketing and communications team in leading our design thinking and contribute to executing and innovating our print and digital strategy across the organization
  • Support the development of the Executive teams communications materials, e.g. PowerPoint presentations, graphics, funder collateral

Brand Management

  • Be an expert and internal influencer on print and digital marketing trends
  • Work collaboratively with JFFs editorial and creative services team to ensure branding, messaging and style guideline alignment
  • Collaborate with other Senior Graphic Design colleague to implement ongoing organizational training on how to leverage our brand effectively
  • Use your excellent design skills and your understanding of creative integrity to reinforce JFFs brand at every point of contact and bring fresh direction and insight to the team while maintaining defined design standards

What you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in a creative design, event marketing or related role in which you have played a role influencing design vision and execution; interactive design experience is a strong plus
  • Expert command of Adobe Creative Cloud apps, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator; experience with video production or animation is a plus
  • Experience designing for ADA compliance / accessibility across both print and digital media
  • Experience working as a brand steward across projects and familiarity with Digital Asset Management Systems and Project Management Systems
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS
  • Experience with designing around events virtual and in person is a nice to have
  • Highly skilled at managing up, influencing laterally, and anticipating the needs of others
  • Experience with responsive design, as well as experience designing for mobile
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Deep passion for JFFs mission and a commitment to applying JFFs core values to all areas of your work
