Key contributor to current and future business growth by strategically interfacing with Business Development, Research & Development, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access and leading indication prelaunch strategies and investments.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaboratively develops the commercial strategy for new indications and pimavanserin Lifecycle Management.
  • Builds and maintains Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) relationships in areas relevant to future indications.
  • Assesses and develops global go to market strategies, with priority emphasis on the US market.
  • Generates new commercial growth platforms including market segments, internal capabilities and competitive positioning.
  • Builds insights driven strategies for new indications that are consistent with brand positioning and the heritage of Nuplazid
  • Translates insights into actions in order to deliver results on complex, multifaceted commercial marketing projects.
  • Develops marketing strategy and develop new opportunities based on customer needs and working with other functional areas.
  • Interacts effectively with Business Development, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Market Research, and Managed Care organizations in strategic long-term planning.
  • Works closely with senior leadership, functional departments and external partners as applicable in the marketing of new indications in order to effectively execute key commercial activities
  • Develops an integrated business plan and strategic plan for new indication branding, strategy and messaging providing a strategic launch package to the in line launch team
  • Develops brand strategies and tactics, oversees Profitability attainment, and establishes annual
  • Utilizes market research to properly plan product activities.
  • Coordinates strategy around promotional effort needed at launch with sales management.
  • Partners with Sales Training on product training requirements and execution to the field for any sales force driven disease state initiatives.
  • Supports major contractual programs and budget maintenance to support financial objectives.
  • Continually assesses competitive landscape and responds accordingly.
  • Works within regulatory and Compliance guidelines to achieve goals.
  • Working closely with Marketing Leadership, and Finance to ensure appropriate resources and organizational alignment are available to capitalize on short-term and long-term business opportunities.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, health care, business administration or related; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. MBA with emphasis in Marketing, Brand Management, Healthcare marketing or Market Research strongly preferred. A minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. A minimum of 8 years in a strategic leadership marketing role. Position requires a minimum of 3 years' experience working with key internal stakeholders to develop new indications and preparing market for launch. Strong contacts within the neurology and/or psychiatry KOL community is highly desirable.

Must possess:
  • Ability to lead, shape and deliver new business initiatives.
  • Experience with in line marketing for CNS/psychiatry products preferred.
  • Direct experience leading a launch and accountability as the brand leader is highly preferred.
  • Relevant pharma sales, training or market research experience preferred.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive organizational action.
  • Ability to build brand strategy where none currently exists.
  • Strong interpersonal, partnering and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong science acumen with an ability to understand the science behind our products and molecules under assessment, including neurobiology.
  • Ability to connect strategy and put into action.
  • Recent blockbuster brand experience, launch experience or major launch/new indication launch experience with a demonstrated ability to shape new markets.
  • Strong Biopharmaceutical strategic brand management experience and demonstrated multi-channel tactical expertise including trade/channel distribution experience specific to long term care.
  • Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environment with learning agility and style flexibility.
  • Ability to work with leadership and other cross functional peers and colleagues.
  • Negotiating skills, specifically with business partners or management and influencing senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
  • Proficiency at creating and communicating a clear vision among team members, effectively aligning resources and activities to achieve functional area and/or organizational goals.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time.
