Job Description:

The Research, Evaluation, and Learning (REL) Specialist will work on some of IIE's flagship research and evaluation projects, including the Ford Foundation IFP Tracking Study and Open Doors. The REL Specialist will support REL projects and manage deliverables, communicate with sponsors, disseminate and engage with REL project beneficiaries, and coordinate team tasks.

This position is a full time 10-month assignment from June 2021 ending March 2022.

Essential Functions:
Coordinate REL project deliverables both within the REL team and with outside consultants or sponsors. Conduct effective communication with REL team members and outside entities to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner and manage to client timelines and tasks.
Support dissemination and engagement of REL products for the REL Unit and for the Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (IFP) Alumni Tracking Study. Coordinate with team members to promote REL and IFP study deliverables. Effective writing for dissemination/communication purposes and support to social media platforms.
Plan key events related to Open Doors and the IFP Alumni Tracking Study. Coordinate team tasks and ensure smooth implementation of virtual/in-person events.
Support REL project data collection and data analysis, with support for analysis and writing as relevant. Basic knowledge of Excel, Adobe, and survey platforms (Verint) is expected, with stretch assignments available.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in order to apply a working knowledge of the theories and principles in a specialized field or work discipline.
Requires at least five years of related work experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Experience in project/task management and communication with sponsors and beneficiaries
Efficient time management and attention to detail
Team coordination and collaboration
Strong writing skills
Familiarity with social media platforms
Basic Excel, Adobe and survey software knowledge.

Essential functions are performed in a general office setting with low noise.
