The Practice Director will be responsible for leading an expert team of consultants to implement Campus Management’s (CMC) Campus Nexus: Finance, HR & Payroll solutions built on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. Director will oversee the budgeting, forecasting, staffing, client engagement, and day to day management of Finance, HR & Payroll projects supported by CMC. Director will be expected to be a subject matter expert in Microsoft Dynamics Finance, HR & Payroll and possess a proven track record of successfully delivering complex, full lifecycle ERP implementations. You will have overall responsibility for the quality of the service that your team delivers. This will include the development and maintenance of implementation methodologies, processes and the development of your team. The DIrector will work closely with Sales, Product Management, Client Services, Customer Enablement, Product Development, and Customers.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and project management of resources to support the implementation for Campus Management’s student Finance, HR and Payroll related products.
  • Prepare project scope and develop project plans; define resource loading and skill requirements to meet company deadlines and objectives. Oversee the scheduling of work assignments to ensure the effective utilization of available resources.
  • Participate and/ or lead quality management reviews including designs, prototypes and other stages of a project to ensure requirements are fulfilled
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Review product documentation and collateral; coordinate training as required for internal departments and the Learning Center.
  • Provide direction for deployment and change management activities as needed.
  • Manage project risks by anticipating deployment issues and provide immediate resolution or escalation as required.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments (i.e. Product Development, Product Management, Client Services, Marketing, The Learning Center, etc.) to properly leverage resources to address customer needs.
  • Ensure quality standards are adhered to and documented processes are followed in day-to-day activities; conduct periodic reviews of the quality processes and implement corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Possess skills to architect solutions that deliver results for our clients
  • Interface with customer project stakeholders, including C-level management and directors, to elicit business and functional requirements
  • Function as a subject matter expert for application design, feature optimization, availability, scalability, user experience, visualization, and data integrity
  • Develop functional specification designs including definition of functional requirements and business scenarios

  • 12+ years of experience in Professional Services, Consulting and Project Management.
  • Experience implementing Finance, HR & Payroll applications on a Microsoft Dynamics platform.
  • 5+ years of Higher Education experience preferred
  • Dynamics 365 certifications in Finance, Human Resources & Payroll (Talent)
  • CPA and CFA certifications preferred
  • Successful history of growing a consulting business
  • BS Degree in Business or related field; MBA preferred.
  • MS SQL, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; effective interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • An ‘action orientation’ and ‘sense of urgency’ in service delivery and everyday activities.
  • Self-starter who takes on challenging responsibilities and holds self ultimately accountable for results and performance.
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Must be able to travel 25%-50%, or as required.
