Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate project budget according to THECB regulations and San Jacinto College policies and procedures, which include: predictive budget analysis, efficient resource allocations, and balancing all projects within scope of activities.
  2. Develop, implement, and coordinate internal project processes to ensure compliance with relevant College and grant-related rules and regulations (i.e., eligibility, purchasing, equipment inventory, closing documents, and external contract vendors).
  3. Work with all internal offices and external partners to support compliance with grant requirements.
  4. Track and evaluate attainment of target measures and core indicators as specified in the Perkins Grant.
  5. Assess and prioritize technical department/division needs and allocate grant funding accordingly.
  6. Record, compile, assess, and accurately report data.
  7. Assist in preparation and submission of amendments to THECB as appropriate.
  8. Assist with completion and submission of RFA bi-annual and final reports per the THECB deadlines for submission.
  9. Initiate and maintain contact with those attending professional development and obtaining equipment.
  10. Act as a liaison between Business & Technology and Health Science instructional programs, student services, office of grants management, purchasing, industry partners, academic advising, and administrators.
  11. Assist in delivery and organization of professional development activities for faculty and staff.
  12. Build and maintain key relationships with college staff/instructors and community resources.
  13. Work with the college community, instructors, and key personnel to keep project on track and meeting its deliverables.

Additional Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
  1. Act as a liaison to one (1) or more San Jacinto College departments and/or divisions.
  2. Participate on various campus committees (e.g., hiring, academic, distance education, etc.).
  3. Participate in professional development activities and training as required.
  4. Travel as required.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned .



Education/Experience/Skills
  • Must possess required skills and be able to explain and demonstrate that the essential functions of the job can be performed.

Required
  • Associate degree or at least four (4) years of related work experience in grant management/administration and budgeting/fiscal management.


Preferred
  • Associates Degree and at least four (4) years of related work experience in grant management/administration and budgeting/fiscal management.
  • Experience in higher education, especially regarding issues related to student persistence and completion, and serving economically disadvantaged students
  • Perkins Grant experience.
  • Experience using Banner.




Salary Grade: 16
