The School of Arts and Sciences is seeking an Instructional Support Assistant for the Math and Physics Department. This position is a maximum of 20 hours per week and will manage set up, maintenance and organization of student laboratories including reagent preparation and equipment for the department labs.
-Testing new laboratory experimental designs.
-Determine equipment requirements, prepares purchase specs, budgetary management of lab related supplies.
-Oversight of inventory for departmental labs, including hazardous waste.
-Maintain appropriate safety and hygiene standards and manages SDS sheets and hazardous wastes.
-Maintain, fabricates, modifies, and repairs laboratory equipment.
-Maintain required documentation related to lab activities ie; procedure manuals and chemical inventory.
-This position works for the School of Arts and Sciences and may be asked to support other departments as needed.
-Reports to the department chair of Mathematics and Physics.

Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in one of the Sciences (biology, chemistry, physics) or related fields.
Recommended Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the Sciences (biology, chemistry, physics) or related fields and/or lab experience.
