SmithBucklin, a 100 percent employee-owned association management company, is seeking an individual with at least one year of association/professional experience to work with one of our top clients, ASBMR, a premier medical/scientific research society in Washington, DC.

The Senior Associate will work both independently and with the staff team to implement programs and activities that move forward the Society's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate for this Senior Associate position would build upon their current association/professional experience and learn all facets of the business of a dynamic, reputable and stable medical/scientific research society.

What You Will Do

  • Build and sustain strong member relations through attentive detail and outstanding customer service in handling member requests
  • Provide administrative support for membership, awards, publication and annual meeting projects.
  • Serve as staff liaison to volunteer committees
  • Write and produce content for association member electronic communications
  • Coordinate and maintain financial projects
  • Collaborate with various SmithBucklin service units including marketing, accounting, IT, and events to provide the best client service possible

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution
  • At least one year of relevant professional experience, to include customer service and / or administrative support experience
  • Microsoft Office experience, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • PC experience with Windows operating system
  • Database management experience
  • Canva and / or HTML experience a plus
