Job Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the Member and Visitor Services Database Manager in management of database systems including ATMS, Raiser's Edge and ImportOMatic. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to creating program, coupon and tickets builds in point-of-sale system, ATMS. Provides technical assistance and support of ATMS, Raiser's Edge and ImportOMatic. Creates and prepares reports used by the organization. Assists in the development and implementation of database training programs for staff. Provides input for how to maximize positive visitor experiences with database systems. This position requires strong attention to detail, time management and the ability to troubleshoot and correct issues as they arise. The incumbent must be flexible, willing and able to adapt as policies and procedures change.

Career Type: Full-time

Compensation: $17.50 Per Hour

Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Individual must be a reliable self-starter with problem resolution skills and data entry experience. Must be detail oriented with strong attention to detail. Must possess excellent customer service skills and written, spoken communication skills and analytical skills. Demonstrate strong proficiency with standard office equipment and software including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, Outlook, Word and Microsoft Outlook. Must be flexible and able to handle multiple and changing priorities. Must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to meet deadlines, remain flexible, approach projects proactively, and provide intentional feedback to the team. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information. Weekend and evening work required.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Responsible for assisting in the management of the point-of-sale and membership database program, such as ATMS, including but not limited to -
    • Creation and management of reporting systems.
    • Lead and attending meetings to identify and better serve users' needs.
    • Work with departments with regards to building programs and offerings into system.
    • Ticket fulfillment process including ticket builds and ticket printing.
    • Lead trainings for users to better utilize and understand database systems.
  • Proactively seek to innovate and improve member database management.
  • Positively impact visitor experience by improving visitor and staff interaction with ATMS.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to ATMS.
  • Maintains accurate database records and performs database quality control.
  • Develop solutions for improving the online visitor experience with ATMS.
  • Provides technical support for ATMS, Raiser's Edge and ImportOMatic.

Other Job Duties:

  • Promote a positive image of Denver Botanic Gardens and Visitor Services staff through excellent customer service.
  • Maintain regular admissions hours, as well as operate during special events, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Provide updates to management regarding status of assigned projects.
  • Act as a positive role model.
  • Work with all departments to assure highest quality experience for all DBG visitors throughout the Gardens.
  • Assist in training and evaluating Membership and Visitor Services staff.
  • Work with all departments to assure highest quality experience for all Denver Botanic Gardens visitors.
  • Ensure compliance of all DBG and Operating Policies and Procedures. Set, communicate and ensure compliance with policies for reports, customer service, cash handling, refunds, and admissions opening and closing
  • Perform other duties or special projects as requested by management.
