The Hope Group, a SunSource company, has a great opportunity for a Marketing Supervisor. This role works as part of a team providing sales support to The Hope Group. The Marketing Supervisor performs various duties including the production of marketing materials, website management, email marketing, supporting prospecting and sales activities, and the coordination of trade shows and events.

The Marketing Supervisor will have principal responsibilities for the creation and routine maintenance and updating of all corporate website pages, collateral material design and production, email campaigns, sales blitz preparation and monitoring, scheduling and coordination of tradeshows, seminars and special projects.

Essential Functions

  • Sales Support: Create and implement digital marketing programs, including script development, questionnaires, instructions, training and tracking. Identify potential markets (ex: marine, mobile), coordinate sales blitz activities, establish lead generation/tracking procedures and process including CRM programs.
  • Prospecting: Design, write and produce email and mail campaigns in support of lead generation, blitz campaigns, product placement campaigns, marketing research and other activities. Identify, build database of prospects, based on research, SIC, or other basis. Compile and publish lists for marketing and sales activities.
  • Research: Conduct regular marketing research and sales support research (ex: customer satisfaction surveys) to identify possible leads, trends in customer buying and effect of competition. Conduct targeted marketing programs such as identifying marine prospects, nitrogen generator prospects, turbine governor prospects, hydraulic power unit prospects, etc.
  • Promotion: Write press releases, design and produce marketing materials, design and produce specialty items, develop and implement website pages, participate in tradeshows, workshops, seminars, training sessions and publicity events. Design, develop and implement retail store displays, vehicle signage, etc.
  • Tradeshows: Schedule and coordinate activities for major tradeshows, including design and development of exhibit backdrops, show-specific literature, pre and post-show activities including follow-up campaigns.
  • Literature: Design, write and produce presentation folders, corporate line cards, literature, brochures, business cards, direct mail pieces, letters and post cards.
  • Websites: Design, write and edit website content for all company websites. Create press releases for general media and website.
  • Staffing: Hire, train and supervise marketing staff.
  • Support The Hope Group Business Management System [BMS] procedures and work instructions by following established processes and supporting their continual improvement.

Duties and Tasks:

  • Maintain URLs and resolve URL or site errors on weekly basis using Google Search Console
  • Manage Ad Words shopping and mobile campaigns
  • Produce monthly reports on eCommerce capture and Pay-per-click campaigns using Google Analytics
  • Create new website landing pages and update corporate website pages
  • Engage with current and potential customers through digital and social media
  • Create email marketing databases.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or similar/related discipline.
  • Previous marketing experience within industrial distribution is preferred.
  • 1+ years supervisory experience
  • 3+ yeas demonstrated experience managing the following:
    • Manage branding, social media and web presence
    • Maintain corporate websites
    • Familiar with web content management systems
    • Familiar with Search Console and Analytics
    • Knowledge of eCommerce website content management
    • Knowledge of SEO best practices
    • Implement email and direct mail campaigns
    • Familiar with email marketing software (i.e. Constant Contact)
    • Familiar with CRM software
    • Manage external and internal communications such as news releases and company newsletters.
    • Coordinate with Quality Assurance to facilitate and manage Customer Satisfaction program
    • Manage digital advertising and pay-per-click campaigns
    • Familiar with Google AdWords shopping and mobile campaigns
    • Plan media buying, advertising, and trade shows
