Sentry Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for multiple community associations located in Nashville. TN. The maintenance technician is responsible for the quality completion of all maintenance tasks and projects. Duties may vary from routine repairs and preventative maintenance to projects and miscellaneous items as assigned by the community association.

This position requires interaction with the Board of Directors, committee members, vendors, Community Manager, and Division Manager.

General Maintenance duties include but not limited to:

  • General building and property maintenance
  • Inspect grounds for trash and debris and clean as needed
  • Clean roadways, sidewalks, and high traffic areas
  • Report common area repairs to Community Manager
  • Review work is done by others/vendors
  • Benches: Ensure that park benches are structurally sound and are kept clean
  • Remove: trash and/or fallen tree limbs and confirm that no tree limbs are obstructing sidewalks, or other areas or facilities and check for graffiti report vandalism to community manager
  • Fountain: Maintain fountain and keep free of algae and debris to ensure that the pump/fountain is operating properly winterize and de-winterize
  • Pet Waste Station: Maintain dog pet waste stations
  • Pump House: Ensure that pump house is clean, neat, orderly, safe
  • Sidewalks: Keep sidewalks and streets free of trash, debris, and sticks
  • Storm Drains: After rainstorms, clear storm drains of accumulated debris
  • Tree Limbs: Maintain limb clearance on street signs and lights
  • HOA Vendors: Meet with service companies and vendors performing work for the HOA to assist them in locating equipment
  • Grounds/Landscape Committee: Meet with the committee for maintenance site visit review

Daily Responsibilities include ensuring that the community gates are working properly and that the community ponds are functioning properly.

Clerical Work

  • Create, maintain, and enter information into databases
  • Use computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing.
  • Operate office equipment, such as fax machines, mail system, copiers, or phone systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand/walk kneel and bend for up to eight (8) hours per day
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in all kinds of weather

Misc. Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Drivers License
  • Must be able to pass a MVR and Background Check
