The Eckerd Living Center



Job Summary: Performs various patient care activities, and technical skills necessary in caring for patients under the direction and supervision of the RN. Utilizes assessment skills and participates in the implementation of plans of care and the evaluations of interventions. Performs selected clinical functions of a licensed nurse. The LPN is able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. The individual demonstrates knowledge of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs.

Qualifications:

A. Education and Training - graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of North Carolina.

B. Experience: Must demonstrate ability to perform necessary duties.

C. Meets the physical and mental demands of the position.
