Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Directs and coordinates material orders, handling, storage, and inventory in the EZflow operation. Develops production plans and arranges delivery of products to customers in accordance with lead time requirements. Makes sure transactions and reports are completed timely in support of business requirements.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Arranges transportation for shipments, including managing contracted drivers, requesting quotes from outside trucking companies, printing paperwork, etc.
  • Oversees shipment of product to customers in accordance with lead time requirements. Responsible for completing shipment confirmations and all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Works with Plant Manager to develop production plans that match customer demand and lead time requirements. Communicates priorities and schedule changes to the Plant Manager and Production Supervisors.
  • Ensures that the production plan is accurate, up to date, and visible to all internal stakeholders. Communicates changes to production that affect the production plan though Customer Service.
  • Responsible for placing purchase orders for stock and non-stock items including raw materials, components, spare parts, contracted services, etc.
  • Manages inventory of all stock and non-stock items. Includes the creation of work orders, purchase orders, related transactions, and the completion of physical inventory counts as required.
  • Responsible for the inspection and testing of received materials, and the maintenance of the records of such inspections.
  • Responsible for answering the plant office telephone and addressing incoming calls appropriately.
  • Prepares production reports, inventory and purchasing reports, and other data as assigned by Plant Manager.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma, Associates Degree or higher preferred.
  • Computer Proficiency Office Suite (especially Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word), with ability to learn new technology.
  • Knowledge of Oracle/JD Edwards a plus
  • Familiar with and able to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Candidate should possess strong people skills, a willingness to lead, a sense of urgency, accountability, professionalism, self-motivation, and the desire to continuously improve the business.
  • Understanding logistics activities, having experience with both shipping and receiving, would be a strong benefit.

ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Must be able to provide direction and collaborate with others.
  • Must be able to train other employees.
  • Must be able to use computers and software related to plant activities.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word. Familiar with Oracle systems a plus
  • Cooperation/Teamwork Ability to work with others to solve problems.
