Position Purpose

Provides support to the Director of Learning Support and Student Accessibility Services and the Director of Evaluation and Assessment. Responsible for: (1) assisting with various aspects of Geisel's Learning Support and Student Accessibility Services Offices; (2) assisting with various aspects of Geisel's' Evaluation and Assessment Office; and (3) carrying out special projects as needed in the UME Affairs Office.

Key Accountabilities

Learning Services (LS)
Serves as initial point of contact for new LS inquiries and requests, including office walk-ins
Coordinates the peer tutoring program
Assists in developing, implementing, and updating LS policies and procedures
Prepares reports as requested by the Director of Learning Support and Student Accessibility Services
Acquires and maintains adequate knowledge of LS office practices in order to carry out essential office business in Director's absence

Student Accessibility Services ( SAS )
Serves as initial point of contact for new SAS inquiries and requests, including office walk-ins
Assists students in the disability accommodation application and implementation process
Monitors SAS records and data
Assists in developing, implementing, and updating SAS policies and procedures
Assists in developing and implementing programming for SAS initiatives
Prepares reports as requested by the Director of Learning Support and Student Accessibility Services
Acquires and maintains adequate knowledge of SAS office practices in order to carry out essential office business in Director's absence

Evaluation and Assessment (EA)
Provides support to the Director of Evaluation and Assessment
Assigns Phase I faculty and student evaluation assignments
Runs schedule and ad hoc reports for courses, clerkships, sub-I's, and electives
Assists in the compilation of end of course reporting as requested by EA Director
Schedule meetings, book rooms, and order food for student data analysis group meetings
Reserves rooms and take notes for Geisel Evaluation Oversight Committee meeting and Assessment Oversight Committee meeting
Proctors exams as needed
Acquires and maintains adequate knowledge of EA office practices to serve as backup for Assessment and Curriculum Inventory Coordinator

Office Administration
Coordinates, attends, records notes, and participates in meetings as requested by the Director of Learning Support and Student Accessibility Services
Audits and maintains LS and SAS websites for accuracy and timeliness of information
Prepares a wide variety of materials such as correspondence, committee minutes and reports, handouts; proof reading to ensure accuracy
Monitors office supplies and places orders as directed

Special Projects
Assists SADME , Associate Dean of Evaluation and Assessment, and Sr Director of Administration and Finance with special projects

Communication
Interacts regularly with faculty, staff, and students, and conveys information on behalf of the offices of learning support and student accessibility services
Regularly handles confidential or sensitive information, exercises discretion concerning its disposition
Interprets, applies and explains office, department, and College policies and procedures
Communicates respectfully and professionally with a diverse community
