Overview

We are seeking an energetic individual to join our team as an Assembler V (Lead Foaming Operator, 1st and 2nd Shift) in a manufacturing environment. This position will report to the Cairns Production Supervisor. If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, then we want to hear from you.



Responsibilities

  • Performs general production duties in the Foaming department such as foaming and trimming of impact cap. Support execution of production efficiency goals of dept.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on production foaming equipment to include daily cleaning as well as scheduled deep cleanings as required by mold.
  • Perform mechanical and control system set and changeover of complex automated and semi-automated production foaming equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair and corrective repair on foaming production and relevant test equipment. Identify and order replacement parts. Make recommendation to management and engineering regarding modifications to maintenance routines, spare parts lists, and troubleshooting guides on the equipment and components.
  • Perform lockout/tagout as required
  • Maintain maintenance files and records
  • Other general assembly and material handling tasks as assigned by supervisor.


Qualifications

  • Ability to be wear a respirator
  • Ability to read and write, ability to comprehend and follow work, quality, and safety instructions (including shop orders, and engineering drawings).
  • Understand standard/metric units of measure
  • Set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
  • Lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 poiunds without assistance.
  • Proficient use of power and hand tools
  • Basic ability to read and understand wiring schematics and hydraulic and penumatic flow diagrams.
  • Proficiency with a computer to interact with a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Adequate dexterity to reach acceptable levels of efficiency.
  • Analyze and plan each job in order to determine tools, equipment and materials necessary.
  • Proficient with computer software such as Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Experience Preferred:
    • Hydraulics, electronics, or pneumatics experience
    • Maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environment
  • Education Required:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
