Position Summary: The End User Support Associate assists in providing entry level technical support to computer system users. This involves using standardized corrective actions to resolve minor issues in person, via telephone or from a remote location. This position will assist with various IT incidents in the helpdesk ticketing system. Tasks include providing assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, printing, electronic mail, operating systems, A/V equipment and smart devices
THIS POSITION WILL BE PART TIME AND YEAR-ROUND - Candidate must have the ability to work approximately 15- 20 hours a week Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities:- Assist with the install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
- Assist with resolving IT incidents, minimizing the impact and cost of IT changes/problems to the company.
- Assist with the Set up/Imaging of equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.
- Maintain record of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.
- Assist with IT incident resolution and management services during normal working hours Monday - Friday to customers by receiving, entering, troubleshooting, prioritizing, escalating and updating all IT incidents.
- Aid in developing training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software
- Answer users' inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems. Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
- Read trade magazines and technical manuals to maintain knowledge of hardware and software.
- Assist with the daily performance of computer systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
RequirementsRequirements:Degree: Currently pursuing BS or BBA Information Systems, BS in Computer Science, or a related field. Prefer students that have completed their Sophomore year. Any relevant experience is a plus.
