Instructional Technologist (Grant Funded) - North Campus

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Supports all aspects of instructional technology and digital fluency training, for both face-to-face and online instruction, including, but not limited to, designing training content, modules, materials, and communications; coordinating with stakeholders in the identification of training needs; providing guidance for content improvement; and delivery of training programs to support the innovative use of instructional technology tools.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Job Functions
  • Collaborate with Senior Instructional Designer and other stakeholders to identify instructional training needs based on College instructional goals, initiatives, and incoming requests.
  • Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate on-site training to serve College-wide goals related to the development of instructional technology and digital fluency skills.
  • Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate remote training via webinars, screencasts, or other distance delivery methods, to serve College-wide goals related to the development of instructional technology and digital fluency skills.
  • Regularly evaluate and revise existing training content to ensure accuracy and alignment to College instructional goals.
  • Perform coordinative duties surrounding training, as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Confident and engaging public presentation skills.
  • Excellent technical writing skills as evidenced by writing samples.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Engaging and confident management of online virtual classroom and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as follow direction, as warranted.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility in a changing environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, escalate issues, and remain organized is essential.
  • Technology proficiency, digital fluency, and confidence with technology are required, including:
  • Technology, including but not limited to, computers, mobile devices, and web-based technologies.
  • Intermediate and advanced features with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with the learning management systems; Blackboard preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or other emerging tools is preferred, but not required.
  • Project management experience preferred.


Required Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related field




Preferred Experience:
  • Preferred, 2 years of experience in instructional technology, instructional design, training development / delivery.




Salary Grade: 21
