As a Human Resource Manager, you'll report to our HR Director and join an existing team of 12 HR professionals who support over 800 staff members located throughout the U.S. You'll work directly with two other HR managers as peers to ensure the integrity of our employment culture.

You'll share your talents in the following ways:
  • Provide direct HR support to our retail and delivery markets on the West Coast (California, Denver, Oregon and Washington).
  • Be the dedicated HR partner for our Delivery/Distribution teams as it relates to strategic initiatives.
  • Support the growth and success of our leaders by actively engaging in their ongoing development. Partner with them to ensure they surround themselves with talent and then respectfully and consistently develop their team, create engagement, reward and celebrate success, manage non-contributors and ultimately ensure the health of our culture.
  • Collaborate and partner with leaders, HR partners and members of our HR team on initiatives (e.g., compensation and salary planning, safety and security, performance management, staff member recognition etc.) to support the needs of the business.
  • Build a culture of safety including managing safety and worker's compensation claims for assigned markets, and working through claims in a manner that minimizes risks and ensures staff members' safe return to work.

You'll bring the following experiences & qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience serving as a HR generalist with comprehensive responsibilities in a customer centric organization.
  • Knowledge of and experience in employment law, compensation, staff member relations, safety and security, and staff member engagement and development strongly preferred.
  • You need to be comfortable working in a strong workplace culture, one that defines the way we work and doesn't rely on rigid HR policies and rules to shape our decisions.
  • An approachable and professional demeanor, exceptional communication skills, strong intuitive sense, desire to continuously learn, consultative, and adaptability,
  • When business travel returns to more "normal", you bring the flexibility to travel four to five times per year and
  • Last, but certainly not least, a genuine passion for your work is essential. Simply put - a desire to do the right thing!
