About the position:

Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Coordinator, HR & Talent Acquisition will play a critical role in supporting the HR/Talent team. The Coordinator is detail and customer service oriented, and performs key functions related to human resources processes, procedures, and policies to support the advancement of JFF's mission.

What you'll do:

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Support
  • Coordinate with the Director of Talent Acquisition to help establish role requirements, identify core competencies, support the creation of search materials, and post new roles in the market
  • Ensure that all hiring managers are equipped with the tools needed to meet ambitious hiring goals
  • Support timely candidate communication and a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment cycle, from application to offer, providing consistently excellent service
  • Schedule interviews with candidates and the director and hiring teams
  • Perform reference checks, background checks, and employment verification for new and prospective employees
  • Act as the new hire liaison, including offer letters, new hire documentation and orientation preparation

General HR/Talent Support
  • Provide a high level of customer support assistance to staff regarding all human resources questions/issues; maintain confidentiality of all sensitive employee data
  • Triage HR inquiries referring staff to HR Knowledge, the director, or the senior talent advisor as appropriate
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic people priorities in areas including performance management, retention planning, employee feedback and experience, compensation strategy, diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Work with members of the HR/Talent and Knowledge Management teams to improve and create workflows for employee resources, including but not limited to the employee handbook, benefits offerings, policy updates, and JFF's intranet
  • Lead all personnel record keeping and data-tracking related to background checks and reviews, promotions, separations, benefits, workers compensation claims, leaves of absence, exit interviews through key HR/Talent data systems
  • Consistently compile, analyze and present HR/talent data to relevant stakeholders for continuous learning and improvement
  • Support data filings for EEO-1 and Affirmative Action Plan
  • Process invoices for the HR/Talent department

Who you are:
  • Belief in JFF's core values and can apply those values to all areas of your work
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience and interest in working with a mission-driven organization
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships across a diversity of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong customer-service orientation, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent time and organizational management skills, with the ability to work well independently
  • Ability to hold high standards for confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using HR/Talent data systems, e.g. ADP, Taleo, preferred.
