DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about leading communications initiatives that reach audiences in the hundreds of thousands? Amazon€™s Benefits team is seeking an experienced communications strategist to lead U.S. healthcare communications. The leader will be responsible for branding and strategic communication initiatives focused on employee healthcare benefits and will work to ensure that Amazonians always and easily have the healthcare information they need.

The successful candidate must be able to understand healthcare benefits and develop customized strategic communications plans to support a healthy and productive workforce. You will be accountable for managing messaging across internal and external channels and for measuring effectiveness to enable continuous improvement.

This role will focus on U.S. healthcare communications strategy, and will also help influence a global benefits communication strategy and support model.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and lead communications strategy and partner cross functionally to implement.
· Develop and execute communication plans to drive awareness and appropriate utilization of new and existing employee programs.
· Continuously raise the bar on the end-to-end employee (customer) benefits experience by partnering with UX design experts.
· Work closely with stakeholders to define key business needs and deliver on commitments.
· Continuously improve employee content based on the voice of the customer, industry best practices and evolving technology.
· Create metrics to measure communication effectiveness, reach, and engagement.
· Ensure accessibility standards are met across employee facing communications and platforms.
· Develop and manage a master healthcare communications roadmap, strategy, and work plan.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor€™s degree.
· Minimum of 8 years of communications, public relations, or marketing experience.
· Change management experience for a large, complex organization.
· Excellent written and verbal communications, with the ability to formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and create a concise and well-written narrative.
· Strong writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to transform complex information into actionable and easy to understand content.
· Experience developing relevant content for a diverse, remote and mobile workforce.
· Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to form a cohesive and effective outcome from potentially incongruous facts (or lack thereof) and individual perspectives.
· Ability to exercise high judgement, particularly in narrow timeframes.
· Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
· Strong project management, time management, organizational skills, and facilitating work for teams that are responsible for cross-functional deliverables.
· Willing to roll up one€™s sleeves and get work done, even when it is outside the scope of the job.
· Future periodic business travel may be required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Healthcare or employee benefits communication experience.
· Ability to anticipate potential reputation issues.
· Experience working in a large scale, dynamic, complex, rapidly growing, and highly innovative organization.
