Description

The Director, Project Planning performs Project Control functions related to project schedule planning, creation, execution, control, cost forecasting and reporting for a portfolio of projects.

Planning/Scheduling Construction Projects:
  • Design and develop project schedule.
  • Interact with project team to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan.
  • Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
  • Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around.
  • Project Controls execution support: implement/execute the schedule management expectation and processes for assigned project(s).
  • Change Management / Forecasting: Implement change management practices and appropriately capture associated schedule activities and overall impact evaluation.
  • Reporting: Develop dashboards to communicate schedule performance to teams in real time. Implement a standardized suite of schedule reports that enable senior management to make data driven decisions.
  • Analysis and Tracking: Perform trend analysis and actively evaluate project schedule performance to identify potential risk areas, validate project metrics, perform forecast scenarios, and communicate those quickly to key stakeholders.
  • Risk Assessment: Work with key management to identify project risks and lead the schedule contingency management process for assigned projects.
