Position Summary

We are looking for a Director of Payments Compliance Operations to ensure that our business operates with existing laws and regulations. As the leader of this function, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our policies and operating practices align with both our business goals and regulatory requirements. You'll develop innovative and effective compliance programs and work cross functionally to implement the program.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight and monitor AML and OFAC compliance program.
  • Collaborate with legal to ensure that all policies reflect current payments regulations.
  • Develop key policies and supporting operating procedures to ensure that compliance programs are effective.
  • Develop and maintain a SAR reporting process that would detail the criteria and processes employed to identify, investigate and report unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate lines.
  • Manage OFAC/watch list screening and perform analysis along with supporting documentation.
  • Perform investigations of suspected cases of illegal or improper activity along with timely reporting and accurate filings.
  • Manage reporting for regulatory and government agencies such as FinCEN and OFAC.
  • Communicate compliance standards and establish training requirements for employees.

  • 10+ years of experience within payments compliance.
  • Experience with payments laws and regulations governing financial institutions (Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, etc)
  • Experience dealing with auditors, consultants and regulatory agencies
  • Excellent communications and leadership skills and is a good team player.
  • Self starter who can hit the ground running on day one.
  • Track record of being able to breakdown policies into executables with an eye for details.
  • International experience is a plus.
  • CFE and CAMS certification is a plus.
