What you'll do:

Wind River is seeking a Director of IT Security with hand-on experience in cyber-security technologies, and a strong business-focused acumen and communication skills needed to keep security top of mind across our organization. With this Leadership position, you will have the opportunity to structure and lead the IT Security direction for Wind River. Security is a key element of our DNA, this cross-functional role touches all business functions across the globe.

A successful candidate for this role will have strong communication skills, and will excels at explaining complex technology to diverse audiences (across varying technical and business backgrounds) in a way that fosters understanding and ownership.

The ability to build influence and evangelize for new security initiatives among stakeholders in multiple organizations will be an essential driver for success, as will an unflappable demeanor and grace under pressure. This role will work with the business at all organizational layers, so it will be important to demonstrate flexibility in approach, communication style and depth of understanding.

Who You Will Work With:
  • The successful candidate will work and collaborate within IT, reinforcing a security mindset across Applications, Operations and Client Services
  • Cross-functionally, the candidate will collaborate with teams across the organization, identifying potential risks and solutions, providing training and education, and overall focusing on a high level of security awareness and positive cyber-security health
  • This position will report to the VP of Information Technology


Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and facilitate our Security council using best practices Risk Frameworks to monitor and promote activities to foster information security awareness across Wind River
  • Own the security technology stack within IT, including Network Traffic monitoring, Vulnerability scanning/patching, Anti-Virus/Malware, Data Loss Protection, Cryptography and other related security solutions
  • Own and monitor compliance of Security related content for Wind River, including Incident Management and Security Policies, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plans, communication with customers and vendors
  • Lead Incident Management and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery simulation exercises for Wind River
  • Oversee Security training for Wind River, collaborating with Human Resources and Legal
  • Manage IT Security related budgets and spending


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Relevant BA/BS degree with Certifications - CISM, CISSP, GIAC
  • Minimum +8 years of experience in Cyber-Security and related fields
  • Knowledge of Network Architecture, Server Infrastructure, Windows and Linux OS, Wireless and Remote Access technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the Company
  • Analytical thinker with strong organizational skills; attention to detail is a must
  • Prior experience with security compliance standards across industries such as ISO 27001, NIST 800, ISO 22301
  • Experience building compliance certification programs, such as ISO 27001, NIST 800
  • McAfee suite, Rapid 7 experience preferred
