JOB SUMMARY

The Director, HR Commercial will be a key leader in the build out of Revance's commercial organization and HR support processes for the continued Commercial team expansion. Reporting into the VP, HR Commercial, this role will provide strategic and operational Human Resources support to Revance's commercial organization. The Director will be a key member of the Commercial HR team and trusted advisor to the Commercial leaders in providing performance coaching, HR consultation, and organizational development insight.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategy:
  • Develops the Commercial HR strategy for Revance in partnership with the VP HR, Commercial
  • Deliver over-arching HR strategies and objectives to the Commercial organization
  • Provide and deploy solutions through a range of organizational development interventions to enhance organizational and individual performance. Partner with the VP HR Commercial to establish effective organizational structures for the Commercial leadership team that support business needs and objectives.

Talent Management & Development:
  • Partner with our Talent Acquisition team and external resources in attracting the best possible talent to the Commercial organization
  • Assess and develop hiring tools that complement candidate selection
  • Prepare the Commercial talent review together with the VP HR Commercial
  • Identify and mitigate any retention concerns
  • Lead and develop targeted personal development objectives for the Commercial organization
  • Leverage existing marketing and brand methodologies for attracting talent while creating and enhancing the Revance brand through Commercial activities
  • Lead and organize change management activities that support the changing business dynamics. Work with the CCO to understand the business needs, the affected change, the priorities, and people implications. Assist the CCO in communicating any change to the organization.
  • Work with the Head of Total Rewards & Analytics and the VP HR & Head of People to ensure pay and benefits are well positioned against market and support attracting and retaining our people. Conduct Regional and Peer Group surveys that can provide quality data and support our overall pay & benefit strategies.

Engagement:
  • Work with the VP HR Commercial to create and sustain a high level of employee engagement through the Commercial organization and address specific areas of concern with a sense of urgency. Partner with the Commercial leadership team in communicating and addressing issues or concerns that could impact a high level of engagement.

Employee Relations:
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance to all Revance HR policies and Federal and State employment law statutes
  • Coach and support Managers and employees in all people management issues. Proactively address and develop smart solutions for any underlying issues, complaints, or negative morale that may affect positive engagement or productive business results.
  • Partner with the VP HR Commercial to navigate challenging organizational dynamics and create win-win solutions.

Performance Management:
  • Support the Commercial leadership team and partner with the VP HR Commercial in delivering a performance management process that improves overall performance and effectiveness of the organization and supports a high-performance culture while living our Corporate values.
  • Assist leaders in transitioning low performers from the organization in a productive manner.

HR Operations:
  • Work closely with the HR Operations team in all aspects of HR operational activities.
  • Provide excellent customer support and service to client groups with a demonstrated sense of urgency.
  • Provide data and HR metric information as needed.
  • Manage costs effectively and within overall HR budget.
  • Maintain operational rigor and ensure record keeping is compliant.
  • Proactively identify and execute efficiencies with HR processes and identify any systems technologies that could simplify work streams.
  • Experience establishing international partnerships and HR models as the business expands to new markets.


EDUCATION:


Minimum Required:
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Organizational Behaviors, or other related field.

Preferred:
  • MBA or advanced degree in Human Resources, or related field.
  • Certification with WorldatWork (CCP, CBP, GRP) and SHRM


EXPERIENCE:

  • Experienced HR generalist professional (8-10 years+) with proven results and career progression ideally with both large and smaller companies, 5+ years at the leadership level; at least 5 years in the life sciences/bio-tech sector
  • Experience in building out and supporting large field sales force (>100)
  • Familiar with behavioral based assessment tools
  • Knowledge of Aesthetic market preferred
  • Experience working in and with different people and organizational cultures, supporting people with diverse backgrounds, attitudes and cultural differences
  • Global experience preferred

  • Ability to advise, coach and influence others in people management matters
  • Excellent communicator
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to travel up to 30%
