Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our growing Commercial IT team. This hire will be responsible for making sure all commercial data sources are ingested and organized in our data store for optimal reporting and efficiency. The Data Engineer will partner and support our Commercial Intelligence and Analytics group along with other reporting stakeholders.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Automates processes associated with production applications & environments & assists others. Supports application-system production environments. Prepares reports for evaluation of system integration quality indicators.
• Develops and implements formal system integration performance improvement programs to enhance & sustain system, application, & interface reliability, availability, stability, & integrity in support of overall departmental performance improvement goals.
• Exhibits ownership, accountability, strong communication skills, broad technical expertise, proactive approach & self-management style. Meets established milestones & schedules.
• Work with cross-application technical teams to successfully partner, integrate, troubleshoot commercial Enterprise applications
• Document processes and polices governing the integration landscape

Education

Minimum Required:

BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience

Preferred:

Advanced degree in Computer Science I Engineering I Science or related field

Experience

Minimum Required:

5+ years relevant experience.

Preferred:

8+ years relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum Required:

• Should have 5+ years of strong SQL development and with hands-on experience in ETL Development and building Star Schema/Snowflake Schema's in Data Warehouse.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL and ETL process.
• Experience in ETL and BI/Reporting tools like FiveTran, PowerBI, Periscope, Quicksights, Looker.
• Experience in Data Governance and Management.
• Very good understanding of REST based API.
• Experience with or understanding of model development lifecycle: feature engineering, model development and deployment, orchestration, feedback and monitoring
• Develop ETL scripts based on technical specifications/Data design documents and source to target mappings.

Preferred:

• Experience with ETL tools. Knowledge in Snowflake, Redshift and PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Experience working in finance, sales.
• Experience in AWS , GCP or Azure is preferred.
• Hands on experience with engineering developer tools- GIT, Dockerization, Continuous Integration frameworks etc
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting skills, verbal and written communications skills.
• Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment.
