DescriptionPosition SummaryThe
Corporate Sales Training Manager, Medical Aesthetics will work collaboratively with the Director of Sales Training to design, develop, facilitate, and evaluate training materials and programs for the sales teams in the highly competitive facial injectable market. He/She will contribute to sales success by proactively partnering with the Director of Sales Training, Sales Leadership, and other Commercial Teams (Marketing, Human Resources, Medical Affairs, Legal, Customer Service) to create and facilitate training materials/programs that address identified field/customer needs to: support new hire onboarding, enhance product knowledge, contribute to key marketing initiatives, improve overall selling skills, build corporate culture, and support the ongoing development needs of the sales team. The Corporate Sales Training Manager is instrumental in leading, managing, and facilitating the overall strategy of the training program/workshop development and execution for initiatives that span all phases of the training continuum.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities- Lead and facilitate corporately run training classes and sales meetings
- Execute training strategy, development and design of content, and implementation
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to ensure training content is accurate and up to date for all training needs
- Identify knowledge gaps for the sales team and develop creative and innovative solutions working independently and through collaboration with appropriate teams
- Manage agencies required to develop, manage and deliver training
- Develop, manage, and implement effective live, virtual training initiatives, and blended learning environments that integrate adult learning theory, interactive activities, job aids, and include competency-based evaluations to drive organizational results
- Partner with front-line sales leaders to understand the needs of their teams and receive input on what is taking place in the marketplace
- Expected to spend time in the field in order to understand customer trends and gain insights to enhance or further shape learning initiatives
EducationMinimum Required:
Bachelor level degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Science, or similar
Preferred:
Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
ExperienceMinimum Required:
- Experience in leading sales teams/groups, developing sales training strategies, curriculum, and managing sales meeting execution
- 5 plus years commercial experience in sales training, management and/or marketing roles with documented success in pharmaceutical, medical device, and/or healthcare industry
Preferred:
- Experience in developing eLearning training content either individually or with agencies
- Aesthetic injectable experience, as well as launch experience
- Mix of experience with small biotech and large pharma companies
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMinimum Required:
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills and leadership presence
- Evidence of instructional design/adult learning experience and initiatives
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly visible and dynamic environment is critical
- Demonstrated leadership experience in training sales teams or field management/training
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, set priorities, meet deadlines and develop workflow processes for multiple projects
- Prior certification as trainer for programs to build salesforce skills and culture such as Challenger Sale, Insights, Myers Briggs, and/or Spin Selling
- Business travel (up to 40%) required to achieve the objectives of the position
