The Copywriter will concept, write, produce & edit copy for a variety of projects for our new clean baby brand, Pipette. S/he will work with the Senior Director, Creative to determine the direction of content from month-to-month and then will work closely with the creative team to produce stories, with an eye for the visual storytelling. The Copywriter will collaborate with key stakeholders to translate marketing and brand strategies into designs with clear communication that is engaging and will help ideate and create marketing assets with the Pipette brand tone and voice. S/he will work at a global, regional and local market level on projects such as multi-channel integrated advertising and seasonal/promotional campaigns, digital marketing for emails/social/paid ads, marketing collateral, in-store fixtures, events, videos, blogs, as well as larger/long-term initiatives. This position will report to the Senior Director, Creative and will support and develop relationships with all internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is creative and is forward-thinking, able to work outside of the box and stretch the Pipette brand, while maintaining, evolving and elevating brand standards. S/he is a talented and inspired writer who demonstrates cultural literacy, an ear for language and storytelling, and a passion for clean beauty. In addition, the ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects with ease. S/he is quick to ask questions and find solutions when additional information is needed to complete a project. Additionally, this Copywriter takes ownership of their projects and is experienced in producing quality work under short deadlines.

Responsibilities
    • Implements the Pipette brand voice across channels by writing or editing engaging copy that inspires and informs prospective and current customers.
    • Manages editorial elements of projects throughout the creative development production cycle.
    • Partners closely with design team to ensure copy is correctly flowed into design and finds integrated visual/copy solutions.
    • Attends all bi-weekly project kickoffs and creative reviews, examines various types of project briefs, paying close attention to marketing objectives and copy requests
    • Executes clean, detail-oriented, on-brief copy for retail, digital and integrated marketing projects, including video scripts, etc.
    • Uploads editorial content onto the site in proper format, with accurate product credits, product tags, SEO tags, and more.
    • Help build and maintain creative/writing style guide
    • Proof copy prior to release of content, artwork, etc.
    • Manage multiple projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail
    • Collaborate with external agency teams and other internal stakeholders to concept, develop, and execute product launches, digital, retail and social campaigns for the brand
    • Prioritize and manage own workload while taking ownership of deadlines across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Work independently to anticipate problems before they arise; find solutions and follow-up on own initiative


Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field required
    • Minimum 8+ years retail copywriting experience with a passion for clean beauty
    • Possess an outstanding portfolio with variety of industries and deliverables represented; ideal mix of editorial, client-side, and agency experience
    • Excellent writing and editing skills with experience across both traditional and digital channels
    • Experience working with marketing teams and demonstrated flexibility in management of creative execution needs, and ability to positively respond to critique/feedback
    • Strong conceptual skills, critical thinking, resourcefulness
    • Self-disciplined and motivated in a fast-paced environment that requires creativity and strong attention to detail
    • Self-starter, positive attitude, sense of humor, and can work independently and values collaboration and feedback
    • Curiosity, intellect and a passion for great ideas; ability to bring them to life is essential
