Position Overview:

At Arbor, we are at the cutting edge of biodiscovery, systematically searching through nature's gene diversity to discover, characterize, and engineer new protein technologies for improving human health and sustainability. We are looking for a highly motivated intern to join our Computational Infrastructure team this summer to help support our scientists to discover and develop novel CRISPR nucleases. Interns will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced interdisciplinary team and develop tools with modern cloud and parallel processing technologies that are unique to Arbor. This is an opportunity to round out your education with pre-professional experience. Come help us do science at scale!

• Undergraduate or graduate student in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Interest in science and research
• Programming experience
• Intermediate level knowledge of software development practices such as version control
• Intermediate level Knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems preferred
• Intermediate level knowledge of Python
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with both computational and biological scientists
• Internship will last 8-12 weeks during Summer 2021 and will be remote
