The purpose of your role as aBusiness Consultant

As a Business Consultant, you will provide strategic overview, advice, and delivery to improve the performance of the organization. Working closely with the business units to identify industry trends, provide information to management, and work within the corporate and divisional structure to develop and implement solutions through enabling technology and improved process.

Business Process Analysis and Change Management:
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technology groups to implement and manage multiple transformational changes.
  • Drive evaluating the effectiveness of current business processes and software solutions. Identify ways to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, and/or increase adoption.
  • Stay current with customer needs and strategies; utilizing formal and informal written communication methods (for example, emails, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, task lists, updates) to communicate updates and findings; and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences (for example, senior management, Customers, technical staff).
  • Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others; identifying and initiating projects; managing resources; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results.
  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities.

Project Management:
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for few major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
  • Lead and align efforts to PMO standards.
  • Manage multi stakeholder relationships and expectations utilizing a communication process to keep others up to date on project results.
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation, managing project scope, establishing budgets, managing forecast, adjusting schedules when necessary, determining daily priorities, ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones, following proper escalation paths, and managing customer and supplier relationships.
  • Create and maintain project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time and resources, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts
  • Meet with project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines

What we're looking for in you
  • 6+ years of experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business.
  • 4+ years of experience working within multiple facets of the construction industry (i.e. Operations, BIM, Finance, IT)
  • 4+ years of experience providing a range of systems training and/or support activities for users while developing and writing process and applications documentation and guides for users.
  • 4+ years of experience diagnosing and resolving business process issues and problems.
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing emerging trends and recommending solutions
  • Project Management Certifications Preferred
  • Change Management Certifications Preferred
  • Associates or bachelor's degree related to technology or project management preferred
