Penn Medicine is looking for an Application Analyst for EPIC User Provisioning - Associate, Mid-level and Senior!The PennChart Team is looking for an analyst for the PennChart User Provisioning Team. The provisioning team is responsible for building user and provider records for over 45,000 plus users in the Health System. We are looking for someone that can multitask, work in a fast paced environment, and also can work independently. Individual should have good communication skills, be able to work with a multitude of different applications, and have good critical thinking skills. Experience with EPIC (and a certification) and building EMP and SER records is preferred, but not required.ResponsibilitiesAssociate Application Analyst: Responsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining an application within the UPHS health system under the direction of a senior analyst. Responsibilities include testing and implementing scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, and fixing system defects. Works with cross functional application teams and UPHS clients by providing education on system functionality, and configuration of new tools to increase end user productivity within the application. Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols. Key areas of responsibility include: ¢ Delivers customer service to IS clients seamlessly across system boundaries¢ Ensures safety, confidentiality & security of employee and Patient data¢ Assists/Trains internal team members, physicians, clinical and practice staff in the utilization of functionality within the application¢ Promptly identifies, documents, and resolves problems with system functionality ¢ Consults with the key client stakeholders and cross-functional team members to gather and interpret documented build requirements for implementation projects¢ Coordinates and adheres to strict implementation project schedules, and handle multiple assignments¢ Communicates clearly problems, issues and potential solutions to team members, clients and organizational administration¢ Researches and analyze new functionality, and releases within the EMR to enhance practice productivity and operational processes¢ Develop a thorough understanding of UPHS EMR applications¢ Interprets and analyzes complex workflow/system requirements in order to design, configure, test and implement application solutions¢ Defines system requirements, and develops logical data models using best practices for build and configuration, maintenance and data integrity.¢ Create and maintains all documentation for assigned applications in order to establish standards for configuration and enhancements within the application¢ Develops, and executes test plans that are comprehensive and inclusive of application functionality changes and/or enhancements to ensure successful outcomes¢ Participates in system upgrades and scheduled vendor releases as requested to enhance the application and meet project objectives.¢ Develops departmental standards regarding change control to ensure accurate data tracking and monitors change process by maintaining current protocols and reporting any problems to appropriate personnel¢ Works independently on complex projects completing within the designated timeframe and under minimal guidance¢ Comply with all applicable guidelines, policies and procedures of IS and UPHS to ensure necessary controls, documentation and audit trailsApplication Analyst: Responsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining an application within the UPHS health system. Serve as the resource for other application team members on technical and functional application analysis, defining system requirements, and developing logical data models using best practices for build and configuration, maintenance and data integrity. Work with cross functional teams and UPHS clients by providing education on system functionality, and configuration of new tools to increase end user productivity within the application. Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols, create and maintain all documentation for all assigned applications, and develop, plan and execute testing for supported applications. Minimum Requirements: \nAssociate Application Analyst\n\nMinimum Degree Requirements and Experience Required: \n• High school diploma or GED required\n• Minimum of 1 year of related experience\n• Experience in health care IT, preferred\n\nSkill Requirements: \n• Good customer service orientation and ability to follow through issues to resolution\n• Knowledge of basic hardware configurations, database management tools and query language\n• Ability to troubleshoot, research and solve problems \n• Detail oriented, analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills required\n• Must be able to function as part of a team providing a high level of quality service to clients\n\nApplication Analyst\n\nMinimum Degree Requirements and Experience Required: \n• Bachelor’s degree \n• Current Internal Penn Medicine Information Services division employees may be considered with proof of active and continued enrollment in an approved bachelor degree program\n• Minimum of 2 years related experience\n• Experience in health care IT, preferred\n\nSkill Requirements: \n• Ability to troubleshoot, research and solve technically challenging problems involving integrated systems\n• Ability to analyze, diagnose, suggest and implement process changes\n• Ability to interact with all levels of healthcare personnel to include: IT management staff, consulting staff, clinicians, clinical administrators, etc.\n• Familiar with process improvement and project management\n\nPreferred Skills: \n• Knowledge of basic hardware configurations, database management tools and query language preferred\n• Knowledge of healthcare operations and data structures and the use of information system applications in the practicing healthcare environment preferred\n• Must be able to function as part of a team providing a high level of quality service to clients.\n• Vendor certification preferred\n• Clinical applications experience in either an application support or implementation role preferred.\n• Strong customer service orientation and ability to follow through issues to resolution\n• Detail oriented, strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills\n\nSenior Application Analyst\n\nMinimum Degree Requirements and Experience Required: \n• Bachelor’s degree \n• Current Internal Penn Medicine Information Services division employees may be considered with proof of active and continued enrollment in an approved bachelor degree program\n• Minimum of 3 years related experience\n• Experience in healthcare IT, preferred\n\nExperience Preferred: \n• Vendor certification preferred\n\nSkill Requirements: \n• Strong customer service orientation and ability to follow through issues to resolution\n• Ability to effectively implement and manage projects and personnel\n• Knowledge of basic hardware configurations, database management tools and query language\n• Ability to troubleshoot, research and solve technically challenging problems involving integrated systems\n• Detail oriented, strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills required.\n• Ability to analyze, diagnose, suggest and implement process changes\n• Ability to interact with all levels of healthcare personnel to include: IT management staff, consulting staff, clinicians, clinical administrators, etc.\n• Clinical applications experience in either an application support or implementation role preferred\n• Strong with process improvement and project management skills\n• Knowledge of healthcare operations and data structures and the use of information system applications in the practicing healthcare environment preferred\n• Must be able to function as part of a team providing a high level of quality service to clients
